That Marvelous “Unstuck” Feeling

“Oh, gosh, I feel better already.”

That’s K. She’s got me on tap for “as-needed” support. Today she told me, “I want to send you something to edit this week, but I’m just not feeling it. Maybe I’ll get inspired later, though.”

And I said, “For sure. Sometimes the right inspo just hasn’t hit. But if you get partway through the week and still feel stuck - hmu. I’ll get you unstuck.”

“I feel better already,” she said. Then added, “I already feel less stuck. You’re so good at that.”

A few days later? A pitch-perfect draft lands in my inbox. Barely needs my intervention at all. She just needed a little spark of confidence.

And that’s the thing. I don’t know how to explain it until you’ve experienced it, but I know how to get people unstuck. I’m really damn good at it. I know what it looks like to be stuck. What it looks like to not be stuck. I know how to work with YOU - not just an average of all writers, but YOU - to get you moving again.

I’m fast. I’m effective. And sometimes all I need to say is “hmu if you wanna” and - blamo! - you’re unstuck.

If you’re longing for that marvelous “unstuck” feeling - hmu. I got you.
